Japan has sent notes to FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation to prevent a recurrence of interference by fans after Yasuhito Endo's vision was obstructed by a bright light from the crowd when he was about to take a penalty kick in a 3-2 win away to Bahrain on Saturday.

"We've sent pictures and a DVD along with the notes, hoping that such an incident will never happen again," Japan Football Association general secretary Kozo Tashima said Wednesday. Drinking bottles were also thrown onto the pitch in the World Cup qualifier in Manama.

Endo converted the penalty to put Japan ahead 2-0 on the stroke of halftime.
