HIROSHIMA — Kenta Kurihara went 3-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs as the Hiroshima Carp beat the Hanshin Tigers 6-3 on Friday, handing the Central League leaders their fifth loss in a row.
Hiroshima turned a 2-0 deficit into a 4-2 lead in the first inning on Kurihara's two-run double and a two-run error by second baseman Kentaro Sekimoto at Hiroshima Stadium.
Shigenobu Shima made it 5-2 with a run-scoring single in the third and Kurihara added a solo home run in the seventh.
