Lin Wei-zhu and Kentaro Sekimoto drove in five runs between them as the Hanshin Tigers beat the Yomiuri Giants 7-5 on Friday to pick up their seventh win in eight games.

Hanshin jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first inning on Lin's RBI single and Sekimoto's two-run double. Lin added a run-scoring triple in the third and Sekimoto doubled in another run in the fifth, helping to make it 7-0 through the sixth at Koshien Stadium.

Veteran left-hander Tsuyoshi Shimoyanagi (11-4) allowed three runs and seven hits in 6 2/3 innings. Norihito Kaneto was charged with five runs in four innings.

Hayato Sakamoto singled in two runs in Yomiuri's three-run seventh.
