Rikiya Sano capped a three-run sixth inning with a tiebreaking infield single as Osaka Toin rallied to beat Hotoku Gakuen of Hyogo Prefecture 7-4 in the quarterfinals of the National High School Baseball Championship on Friday.

Osaka Toin turned a 4-2 deficit into a 5-4 lead in the sixth on a wild pitch and RBI singles by Yuta Ariyama and Sano. Cleanup hitter Keigo Hagihara had four of the Osaka school's 16 hits while driving in two runs with a homer in the seventh and a single in the eighth.

In the day's other quarterfinal game at Koshien Stadium, Toshiki Uechi drove in the go-ahead run with a squeeze bunt in the top of the 10th inning as Okinawa's Urasoe Shogyo edged Kanagawa's Keio 4-3.
