Fernando Seguignol hit a pair of two-run homers and finished 3-for-4 with five RBIs, leading the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles to a 9-4 victory over the Seibu Lions on Friday.

Seguignol, who made his debut with the struggling Pacific League club only Wednesday, went deep twice and had an RBI single in his first three at-bats. Teppei Tsuchiya added a three-run home run in the third, helping Rakuten build a 9-1 lead through four innings at Kleenex Stadium.

Rakuten starter Hideki Asai (8-7) allowed four runs in 5 1/3 innings. Rookie right-hander Masamitsu Hirano was roughed up for eight runs in 3 1/3 innings.

Buffaloes 5, Fighters 3 (10)

At Sapporo Dome, Alex Cabrera went 4-for-5 with a homer and three RBIs as Orix held off Hokkaido Nippon Ham to extend its winning streak to three games.

Cabrera hit a solo home run in the sixth inning and broke a 3-3 tie with a two-run double in the top of the 10th. The Fighters have lost six straight, their longest slide of the season.

BayStars 11, Tigers 4

At Osaka's Kyocera Dome, Yokohama erupted for seven runs in the seventh inning and handed Hanshin its sixth loss in seven games.

Seiichi Uchikawa broke a sixth-inning tie with an RBI single before the seven-run seventh put the game out of reach for the Central League leader. Yuki Yoshimura homered and drove in three runs.

Carp 5, Giants 4

At Tokyo Dome, Scott Seabol hit a go-ahead two-run single and Yoshikazu Kura followed with an RBI single in a three-run third inning as Hiroshima edged Yomiuri.

Mike Schultz (2-4) threw two scoreless innings in relief. Hiroshi Kisanuki (6-5) lasted only 2 1/3 innings, giving up five runs.
