NISHINOMIYA , Hyogo Pref. (Kyodo) Keio infielders Yutaka Fukutomi and Yuji Suzuki drove in two runs apiece as the Kanagawa Prefecture school blanked Toyama's Takaoka Shogyo 5-0 on Monday to advance to the third round of the National High School Championship.

Starter Kei Tamura and Naohiko Tadano, who relieved from the seventh inning, combined to limit Takaoka Shogyo's offense to five hits while fanning six to allow Keio to win a second game at the annual summer classic for the first time in 88 years.

In another second-round game, Ryuji Kinoshita threw a six-hit shutout as Aomori Yamada defeated error-prone Honjo Daiichi of Saitama Prefecture 4-0 at Koshien Stadium in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture.

Meanwhile, Toho edged Nagasaki's Seiho 5-4 after a squeeze bunt by shortstop Takafumi Matsunaga in the eighth gave the team from Aichi Prefecture its fourth and final go-ahead run of the game.
