Masahiro Yamamoto picked up his 200th career win with a complete-game effort as the Chunichi Dragons beat the Yomiuri Giants 5-1 on Monday.

Yamamoto (7-3), who turns 43 next Monday, became the 24th pitcher in Japanese baseball history and the oldest pitcher to achieve the feat after holding Yomiuri to one run and four hits at Nagoya Dome.

The left-hander, known for his screwball, won his fourth straight start and improved his career win-loss record to 200-151 over 23 seasons — all with the Central League club. On Sept. 16, 2006, he threw a no-hitter in a 3-0 win over the Hanshin Tigers.
