OAKLAND AP — Kurt Suzuki's knee was throbbing. So was his foot, painful reminders of the foul balls that that hit off his body earlier in the night.
Still, the Oakland catcher managed to smile as he stood beside his locker after delivering the game-winning hit.
"At my position you expect to get foul tips," said Suzuki, who doubled in pinch runner Jack Hannahan with the winning run in the 11th inning as the A's withstood four home runs by Florida to beat the Marlins 7-6 on Friday night.
