SAN DIEGO (Kyodo) San Diego Padres second baseman Tadahito Iguchi is expected to be sidelined for three to four weeks after separating his right shoulder during a game against the New York Mets on Thursday, team officials said.

Iguchi, who will undergo a detailed examination Friday, hurt himself when he fell awkwardly on his shoulder while running to third base from second with two outs in the seventh inning as he jumped to avoid a groundball hit by Kevin Kouzmanoff.
