Left-hander Masanori Ishikawa combined with Lim Chang Yong in a 3-0 shutout of the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks in interleague action on Wednesday.
Ishikawa (6-4) scattered three singles and struck out eight with one walk in eight solid innings for his first win since April 29 and Lim escaped a two-on jam with two outs in the ninth at Yahoo Dome to earn his 14th save.
Ryohei Kawamoto's RBI single opened the scoring in the second before Norichika Aoki and Yuichi Matsumoto contributed with RBI singles in the fifth.
