The Texas Rangers said Sunday they have demoted right-handed reliever Kazuo Fukumori to minor league affiliate Triple-A Oklahoma to make room for reliever Scott Feldman. Fukumori, who is in his first year in the majors, gave up three runs and four hits in one-third of an inning in a game against the Toronto Blue Jays last Friday. He signed a two-year deal, reportedly worth $3 million in the offseason but has failed to perform in the big leagues, allowing six runs in 1 2/3 innings with a 32.40 ERA. "This is the obvious decision because of my results. I have to do my best in the minors and hope that I can come back," Fukumori was quoted as saying on the Rangers' official Web site.
