Yomiuri Giants right-hander Koji Uehara fulfilled the requirements to become a free agent for the first time Friday, but team sources said he will hold off on commenting on the matter until next week. Uehara, who many suspect will make a bid for the major leagues, will make clear whether or not to exercise his free-agent right on the team's day off on Monday.
