In the day's other quarterfinal game, Shota Sato pitched a six-hit shutout and delivered an RBI single as Toyodai Himeji of Hyogo Prefecture blanked Chiben Wakayama 2-0 to set up a meeting with Okinawa Shogaku in Thursday's semifinals at Koshien Stadium.
