Veteran right-hander Hideo Nomo will start the season in the minor leagues after the Kansas City Royals left him out of the 25-man Opening Day roster Saturday. Nomo, who hurt his groin in a spring training game on Tuesday, will now join Triple-A Omaha and undergo rehabilitation.
