New York Yankees left-hander Kei Igawa will start his season in the minors after he was among six players demoted from the roster on Friday. Igawa was expected to be pitching from the bullpen this season, but he has been in poor form this spring, giving up 11 runs over 12 1/3 innings in six games. Igawa, 28, was sent to the minors twice in an inconsistent rookie season last year.
