The Aisin Sea Horses captured the JBL Finals title on Wednesday, topping the defending champion Toyota Motors Alvark 93-79 in the decisive Game 5 at Yoyogi National Gymnasium Annex. J.R. Sakuragi scored a team-high 25 points and grabbed 18 rebounds for Aisin, which controlled the glass by outrebounding the Alvark 49-34. Alpha Bangura added 19 points and Shinsuke Kashiwagi had 18 for the Sea Horses, while James Maye added 15 and rookie Kosuke Takeuchi chipped in with 10. Aisin made 21 of 26 free throws; Toyota sank 15 of 23. Charles O'Bannon led the Alvark with 29 points, teammate Louis Campbell scored 19 and Yusuke Okada had 16.
