Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Hiroki Kuroda allowed three runs on seven hits in 5 2/3 innings, his longest outing of the spring, in a 10-9 loss to the Kansas City Royals on Monday. Kuroda gave up a home run for the first time — a Mark Teahen solo shot with one out in the sixth — in his sixth outing while striking out four and walking none. "There were good parts and bad parts in today's outing. I got a good lesson for the regular season," said Kuroda, whose fastball reached 154 kph (96 mph) in the game.
