With all the hype that has surrounded Daisuke Matsuzaka's return to Japan it may have been easy to forget that Hideki Okajima was returning as well.
Yomiuri Giants fans didn't forget on Sunday night and joined the large contingent of Boston Red Sox fans in attendance in giving Okajima an almost deafening ovation as the Boston All-Star made his return to Tokyo Dome during the seventh inning of the Red Sox's game against the Giants.
"That was for us a feel good moment," Boston manager Terry Francona said. "Seeing the flashbulbs kind of reminded me of the first time Daisuke faced Ichiro back in Boston. You could hear the buzz from the fans.
