The Tokyo Apache used a strong fourth-quarter run to take control of a tight game against the host Rizing Fukuoka on Friday, earning an 87-77 win in the process. Leading 61-60 with 8:59 to play, the Apache outscored the Rizing 18-3 over the next six-plus minutes to take control of the game and improve to 19-16. John Humphrey scored a team-high 18 points and made six steals for Tokyo and shared the out-of-towners' lead in assists (four) with Dameion Baker. Masashi Joho added 16 points, Nick Davis had a double-double (14 points, 13 rebounds) and Cohey Aoki contributed 12. For Fukuoka (13-22), Michael Parker scored a game-best 22 points, Jeffrey Price had 16 and nine boards, while Michael Gardener added 11 points and seven steals and Joshua Peppers 10. The Rizing struggled at the free-throw line, making 11 of 23 shots.
