Brazilian striker Bare upstaged David Beckham with four goals as Gamba Osaka hammered Major League Soccer side Houston Dynamo 6-1 to win the Pan Pacific Championship on Saturday.
Gamba, who beat Beckham's Los Angeles Galaxy 1-0 on Wednesday, fell behind early in the final but came storming back as Bare took his tournament tally to five goals while compatriot Lucas and Masato Yamazaki also hit the target for the 2005 J. League champions.
