Right-hander Tomokazu Ohka has agreed to a minor league deal with the Chicago White Sox, an article on the American League club's official Web site said Thursday. Ohka, who was released by the Toronto Blue Jays last June, will take part in the team's spring training as a non-roster invitee. The 31-year-old became the second Japanese pitcher after Hideo Nomo to earn his 50th major league in his ninth year in the majors last season before being cut by the Blue Jays. Ohka, who has a career 50-62 record in the majors, then signed minor league contracts with the St. Louis Cardinals in June and the Seattle Mariners in July, but failed in his attempts to return to a major league mound.
