Former Japan coach Ivica Osim, who is in rehabilitation after suffering a serious stroke last November, is set to attend the national team's upcoming friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina, Japan Football Association chief Saburo Kawabuchi said Tuesday. "I think he will come (to the match)," said Kawabuchi, adding that Osim is looking forward to watching Japan play his homeland. "Hopefully he will be in good spirits and be able to give everyone a handshake. He has said he wants to go and it is looking positive," he said. Osim's attendance at the Jan. 30 match at Tokyo's National Stadium would mark his first public appearance since being hospitalized. The 66-year-old Osim collapsed Nov. 16 while climbing the stairs at his home after watching soccer on television. He took over for Brazilian Zico as Japan coach after the team's first-round exit at the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
