The bj-league, which is adding a pair of expansion teams in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture, and Shiga Prefecture for the league's fourth season in 2008-09, will need to add new referees to the mix as well. The league will host a tryout for prospective referees in July. Individuals who pass the tryout will attend workshops, gain experience working with an American instructor and participate in preseason games next summer. Individuals who are 20 years or older (male or female) and interested in becoming a bj-league referee are asked to submit a cover letter, CV and a recent full-length photograph to: Japan Professional Basketball League Co., Ltd.
