Former Cleveland Indians right-hander Kazuhito Tadano, who was selected by the Nippon Ham Fighters in the first round of the Japanese baseball amateur draft last fall, has suffered a broken left wrist, team sources said Thursday. Tadano, 27, injured his wrist in a fall while running in training on Sunday and will likely be sidelined for more than two months, all but dashing his chance of making the top-team roster for the start of the 2008 season. Tadano had a 1-1 record with a 4.47 ERA in 15 games, including four starts, for the Indians in 2004-2005. He played in North America the past five seasons, mostly in the minor leagues, after posting 20 wins in the Tokyo Big Six League for Rikkyo University but was overlooked in the 2002 Japanese baseball draft due to a shoulder injury.
