The Seibu Lions said Tuesday it will change the name of its home stadium from Goodwill Dome to Seibu Dome after the contract for the naming rights between the club and Goodwill Group Inc. was formally canceled.

Seibu's farm team, which had assumed the name Goodwill after the deal in December 2006, will be called the Saitama Seibu Lions.

Both changes will go into effect Wednesday. Seibu club president Shinji Kobayashi said, although there have been several suitors, there are no immediate plans for another company to purchase the club's naming rights.

"There have been several companies who wish to purchase the naming rights, but we have decided to be cautious. This is a new start and we want to go back to our original way," Kobayashi said.
