NAGOYA (Kyodo) The Chunichi Dragons and slugger Tyrone Woods have reached an agreement on a new one-year deal for an estimated annual salary of ¥600 million, unchanged from last year, the Central League club said Friday.
Woods, who has been with Chunichi since 2005 after playing for the Yokohama BayStars for two years, had team highs of 35 homers and 102 RBIs in the 2007 season to help the Dragons win their first Japan Series crown in 53 years.
