The West defeated the East 122-112 in the JBL All-Star Game on Christmas Day at Tsukisamu Alpha Court Dome in Sapporo, but sharpshooter Takehiko Orimo of the East squad stole the spotlight. Orimo, a veteran of the Japan National Team, scored a game-high 39 points, wooing the crowd with an electrifying performance from 3-point land, where he sank 11 of 18 shots. Orimo, who made the switch to Rera Kamuy this season after a 14-year career at Toyoto, was named the East's top player for the contest. OSG Phoenix forward Shogo Asayama scored a team-high 27 points for the West squad, finishing 6-for-8 from 3-point range. Asayama was named the West MVP. In a wild fourth quarter, the West outscored the East 47-32 to secure the victory.
