The Toyama Grouses ended a season-long losing streak on Sunday, earning a 74-70 victory over the visiting Takamatsu Five Arrows.
The Grouses (1-13) lost the series opener 97-81 on Saturday, but returned the favor a day later by getting double-digit scoring from six players: Masayuki Kabaya (16 points), Takanori Goya (13), Uka Agbai and Jamar Brown (12), Robby Joyner (11) and Kazutoshi Ohta (10).
In fact, those six guys scored all of Toyama's points. For Goya, the bj-league's No. 1 overall draft pick two seasons ago, his 13 points represented a season-high total, topping the 12 he scored in the series opener.
