Ai Fukuhara saw her chances of securing a spot in next year's Olympic Games increase when she kept her place in the top 10 in the latest world rankings released by the International Table Tennis Federation. Japanese No. 1 Fukuhara remained in 10th place in the December 2007 women's singles rankings and is expected to stay in the top 20 in the next rankings to be issued on Jan. 3. The world's top 20 in the January rankings will be given berths in the Beijing Olympics on condition that they are among the top two in their countries.
