The Hiroshima Carp have acquired former St. Louis Cardinals infielder Scott Seabol, baseball sources said Wednesday. Hiroshima has brought in the 32-year-old Seabol to fill the void left by slugger Takahiro Arai, who recently agreed to join the Central League's Hanshin Tigers after declaring free agency. Seabol, who also has major league experience with the New York Yankees, hit 30 home runs and 100 RBIs this past season at the Florida Marlins Triple-A affiliate Albuquerque.
