Tomizawa had 261 yards, while Akihiro Izuhara threw for 160 yards on 12-for-16 passing for the Frontiers. On the other side of the bracket, the Obic Seagulls equalled the game at 23 all with a touchdown pass by Manabu Tatsumura with 40 seconds left in regulation. But Impulse kicker Masahiro Ota made two field goals in overtime as Matsushita Denko edged the Impulse 29-26 at Nagai Stadium in Osaka. Fujitsu and Matsushita Denko will meet in the Japan X Bowl at Tokyo Dome on December 17.
