Takamatsu Five Arrows power forward Reggie Warren is the Circle K Sunkus Player of the Week, the bj-league announced on Tuesday. Osaka Evessa center Jeff Newton earned the monthly MVP accolade for the season's first month. Warren is averaging 21.3 points per game, No. 3 in the league, and scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds on Saturday. Warren added 20 points and nine boards on Sunday, leading the Five Arrows, who are 6-2 and in second place in the Western Conference, to a two-game sweep over the Ryukyu Golden Kings. Newton, averaging 16.5 points, 12.5 rebounds (No. 2 in the league) and 2.5 blocks (No. 3) per game, has six double-doubles for the 7-1 Evessa. Newton, an All-Star last season, has blocked two or more shots in each game this season.
