The bj-league will hold player tryouts in January. Tryouts are open to players ages 16 and older, as of Oct. 1, 2008.
The first round of tryouts will be held in two places: Chiba and Fukuoka. The Chiba tryout is set for Jan. 8 at Funabashi Undo Koen Gymnasium and the signup period is from Nov. 28 to Dec. 20.
The Fukuoka tryout is scheduled for Jan. 14 at Fukuoka Daiichi High School and registration is from Nov. 27 to Jan. 3.
Players who pass the first round of tryouts will be invited to attend the second stage, which will be at BumB (Tokyo Sports Cultural Center) in Tokyo's Koto ward on Jan. 28.
These tryouts will consist of physical strength, individual skills and game skills. The registration cost is ¥5,250. For more information, send an e-mail to [email protected].
