Former yokozuna Wakanohana and his wife Mieko said Wednesday they have divorced after a 13-year marriage. The 36-year-old Wakanohana, whose real name is Masaru Hanada, and his 38-year-old wife said in a joint statement that they filed a divorce Tuesday after lengthy one-on-one talks. They also said they are grateful for their 13-year marriage, which made them the parents of four children.
