Hiroshima Carp manager Marty Brown has agreed to a one-year contract extension and will stay for his third season in 2008, club officials said Friday. The agreement came after Hiroshima held talks with the 44-year-old Brown on Thursday. Hiroshima is in fifth place in the Central League with a 52-72 record after Friday's game and is almost certain to finish in the bottom half of the six-team standings for a 10th straight season.
