Troubled Mongolian-born grand champion Asashoryu has checked into a resort facility in his homeland to undergo treatment for a stress disorder, sumo sources said Thursday. Asashoryu, who arrived in Ulan Bator on Wednesday with stable master Takasago and doctor Masaki Honda, has holed up amid tight security at the facility in Harhorin, about 360 km outside the Mongolian capital. The facility, which stopped taking reservations from the general public a few days ago, was sold to Asashoryu by the Mongolian government after he was promoted to sumo's top rank of yokozuna in 2003.
