Japanese players from the collegiate and professional minor leagues achieved their goal of winning a rehearsal event for next year's Beijing Olympics with a perfect 5-0 record on Thursday. Japan, managed by former Chunichi Dragons and Hanshin Tigers skipper Senichi Hoshino, rallied from an early 2-0 deficit to beat host China 5-2 in the final of the four-nation tournament.
