Shortstop Kazuma Ide delivered a game-ending hit in the 13th inning to give Saga Kita a 4-3 win over Tokyo's Teikyo while Hiroshima's Koryo routed Imabari Nishi of Ehime 7-1 in the quarterfinals of the national high school baseball championship Sunday. Ide hit the last of three consecutive two-out singles in the bottom of the 13th as Saga Kita advanced to the semifinals for the first time. Takahiro Kubo pitched eight scoreless innings from the bullpen, escaping jams as Teikyo botched squeeze bunt attempts in the 10th and 12th. Saga Kita third baseman Hiroshi Soejima hit his second home run of the tournament with a solo shot in the third. In the other quarterfinal game played Sunday, Koryo turned a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead in the fourth on back-to-back RBI singles from Takuma Yamashita and Ryuki Hayashi.
