NISHINOMIYA, Hyogo Pref. (Kyodo) Shingo Ito delivered a game-winning single with two out in the 10th inning Friday, lifting spring invitational champion Tokoha Gakuen Kikugawa to a 4-3 victory over Miyazaki's Nichinan Gakuen to reach the quarterfinals of the National High School Baseball Championship.
Ito won hero accolades twice after hitting a pinch-hit three-run homer to rally the Shizuoka school from a 3-0 deficit with two out in the eighth and added the decisive blow with runners on first and second in the 10th at Koshien Stadium.
