Shinnosuke Abe hit two of his team's six homers Sunday, helping power the Central League-leading Yomiuri Giants in a 9-0 rout of the Hiroshima Carp.
Michihiro Ogasawara connected for a three-run blast in the first inning followed by Abe's towering two-run drive to right off Shinji Sasaoka for a 5-0 lead at Tokyo Dome. Tomohiro Nioka added a shot in the third and Yoshinobu Takahashi went deep to right leading off the fifth.
Lee Seung Yeop and Abe put the icing on the cake with back-to-back solo blasts in the sixth.
