Nippon Ham Fighters right-hander Ryan Glynn was named interleague MVP on Wednesday after leading the Pacific League club to the best interleague record. Glynn went 5-0 with a 1.01 ERA in six starts, leading both leagues in wins and ERA, as Nippon Ham finished 18-5 with a tie, 3.5 games ahead of the Yomiuri Giants in the standings, after five weeks of interleague play. He won 2 million yen in prize money. The two 1 million yen runner-up prizes went to Yomiuri left-hander Hisanori Takahashi, who earned four wins, in the Central League and Lotte Marines outfielder Saburo Omura, who had, a baseball-leading 23 RBIs, in the PL.
