Waseda University freshman Yuki Saito has been named to Japan's national team visiting North Carolina for the upcoming collegiate series against the United States. Saito is among five members selected from Waseda University as the All Japan University Baseball Federation on Monday released the list of 22 players for the five-game series to be held July 4 to 8.
The right-hander led Waseda University to its first national collegiate title in 33 years this month and was named the MVP of the championship, less than a year after winning the national high school championship with his Waseda Jitsugyo teammates.
