Tatsuhiko Kinjo went 4-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs to back a solid effort from Kimiyasu Kudo on Monday as the Yokohama BayStars beat the Chiba Lotte Marines 4-2 to extend their winning streak to five games.

The switch-hitting Kinjo hit a solo home run in the second inning, had a two-run triple in a three-run third and added two singles in the day's only interleague game, falling a double shy of the cycle at Chiba Marine Stadium.

Kudo (2-4) got his first win since May 23, allowing two runs and six hits in 7 2/3 innings. The 44-year-old lefty had a shutout until Kazuya Fukuura delivered a two-out RBI single in the eighth.

Marc Kroon picked up his 16th save. Yasutomo Kubo (6-4) took the loss for Lotte, which fell to second place in the Pacific League behind Hokkaido Nippon Ham.
