Orix Buffaloes first baseman Kazuhiro Kiyohara will leave for Los Angeles on Monday to have his injured knee examined, the Pacific League club said Sunday. The 39-year-old Kiyohara has been rehabilitating his left knee since undergoing endoscopic surgery in February in his bid to return to the Orix lineup. The former Seibu Lions and Yomiuri Giants star has hit 525 homers, fifth on the all-time list in Japanese baseball. He has made no appearances for the top team in his second season with the Buffaloes.
