The Hiroshima Carp are moving to acquire former Chunichi Dragons outfielder Alex Ochoa, team sources said Wednesday. The club, which currently has no foreign position players on its roster, has already finished inquiries on the 35-year-old slugger and will begin talks to seal the deal over the next few days. Ochoa could arrive in Japan as early as next week, the sources said. Ochoa joined Chunichi in 2003 and helped the team win two league championships in four years.
