Nippon Ham reliever Takehiko Oshimoto retired pinch-hitter Ken Suzuki on a popout to escape a two-out, two-on jam in the sixth in 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief. Tateyama was charged with two runs and six hits in six innings.
