OSAKA (Kyodo) The Japan High School Baseball Federation decided Thursday to have a scandal-hit Iwate Prefecture high school rejoin as a federation member school on June 1.
The decision paves the way for Sendai Kitakami high school's participation in a regional tournament leading to the national championship in the summer and came about a month after its baseball team voluntarily disbanded over a series of amateur baseball rule violations.
