Kazuhisa Ishii and Shingo Takatsu combined on a four-hitter as the Tokyo Yakult Swallows edged the Yomiuri Giants 2-1 to snap their four-game losing streak on Sunday.
Ishii (3-3) held Yomiuri to one run and four hits over eight innings in a pitching duel with Hisanori Takahashi (5-1), who lost for the first time in six starts this season, at Tokyo Dome.
Aaron Guiel put Yakult on the board in the sixth with an RBI single and Ryuji Miyade made it 2-0 when he homered to right in the seventh.
