Shunsuke Nakamura made clear Monday that he will remain with Celtic, a day after the Japan midfielder scored the injury time winner against Kilmarnock that gave his club the Scottish Premier League championship.

Nakamura, winner of the Scottish Professional Footballers' Association Player of the Year award, said on the official Web site of the club that he will play for Celtic next season and do his best to help the club win a third straight league title. Nakamura, whose current contract with Celtic will expire at the end of next season, has drawn speculation that he might move to a club in a higher-profile European league this summer.
