The Yokohama BayStars removed Kimiyasu Kudo from the active roster on Monday, a day after the veteran left-hander lost his third straight start of the season.

Kudo, who will turn 44 on May 5, lasted just two-thirds of an inning and was charged with seven runs in a 10-1 loss to the Hanshin Tigers on Sunday in his third start since moving from the Yomiuri Giants.

Kudo's earned run average soared to 14.40 after his performance on Sunday. He has a 215-132 record with a 3.41 ERA in a career that includes stints with the Seibu Lions, Daiei Hawks, Yomiuri and Yokohama.
